Announcement relating to the adjustment of the discount rate and other rates on 
accommodations of the Bank.

Legal basis: 
Article 21 of the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Act.

Announcement:  
The Bank’s discount rate, rate on accommodations with collateral and rate on 
accommodations without collateral are adjusted from 1.5%, 1.875% and 3.75% to 
1.25%, 1.625% and 3.5%, respectively, effective February 19, 2009.
