Subject:
Limits on the amount of New Taiwan Dollars that may be carried in person or sent 
by mail into or out of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) are as follows. These limits took 
effect on June 28, 2017.

Basis:
Article 18-1, Paragraph 1 of the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) 
Act.

Announcement: 
Limits on the amount of New Taiwan Dollars that may be carried in person or sent 
by mail into or out of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) are announced in conjunction with the 
promulgation of the amended Money Laundering Control Act.
1. The amount of New Taiwan Dollars that each passenger or service crew may carry 
  into or out of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) is limited to NT$100,000 per person per 
  border crossing unless otherwise approved by the Bank.
2. New Taiwan Dollars may not be sent by mail into or out of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) 
  by cargo transport, express delivery, postal service or other similar means 
  unless otherwise approved by the Bank.
3. Bank Announcement Tai Yang Fa No.1030046113 dated October 30, 2014 is 
  rescinded on June 28, 2017.
